Huma Huma Trigger

(Rhinecanthus aculeatus)

The Huma Huma is a very popular triggerfish mostly because of its interesting markings and its unusual behaviors. The Huma Huma has a good dispotition for a trigger, but will still munch on any meaty food or an unlucky goldfish. The really interesting part of the Huma Huma is its unique behavior and attention it shows its owner. Huma Humas are know to emmit a whrilling sound when it is upset, and has even been known to spit water from the top of the tank (I had one that did this all the time around feeding time). The Huma Huma loves attention from its owner and is one of the most trainable of the common marine aquarium species. If you have a fish only tank with no shy inhabitants, then I highly recommend you give the Huma Huma a try.
